Security Training: We Keep Us Safe

Join local organizations for an overview of rights, training on physical safety, and resources for collective and individual security. St. Stephen’s and the Vine is pleased to host this special community event, April 11-12, 2025.

This security training will address issues including:

  • Do you know what to do if approached by law enforcement? Who to call if you are harrassed by police or intimidated by ICE?
  • The governor of Missouri has signed a bill that grants the state control of local police.
  • Laws concerning LGBTQ rights are changing, attacks on the global majority, paid sick leave and reproductive rights continue.

Let’s talk about the impact of these issues and how communities can build care and safety plans for both basic and emergency preparedness.

Childcare and youth activities are available (but young people 10 years and up are most welcome to attend the training itself.)

This event is organized by Metropolitan Congregations United of St. Louis.
