Doris Kieffer
November 6, 1932 – December 15, 2025
Doris Kieffer, longtime parishioner and “adopted” member of the Herzog family, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 15 with her caregiver, Ann, at her side.
Doris will be remembered for her kind spirit and bright smile. She sang in the choir, attended bible study, and was active in the ECW for many years.
Born into the Lutheran church, Doris became an Episcopalian after her close friend Judy Herzog invited her to church at St. Stephen’s. Doris was a friend to many at St. Stephen’s, but developed especially close friendships with Linda Henderson (who lived across the street from her) and Joan Hahn over many years of coffee and conversation in the parish hall following the Sunday services.
A memorial service celebrating Doris’ life will be held at St. Stephen’s on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at 10 a.m.
Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord;
And let light perpetual shine upon her.
