The board of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of the Diocese of Missouri will host Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde for a virtual discussion of her book “How We Learn To Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith” on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m.
The Right Rev. Budde, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, garnered national attention for her homily at the January 2025 interfaith prayer service following Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration when she called for compassion and mercy toward marginalized groups.
Women of the diocese should read the book and register in advance for the Zoom meeting.
All women who attend an Episcopal Church are welcome to join ECW events at the parish, diocese, and national level. There are no fees or membership requirements.
