Stewardship:
Our personal response to God’s generosity in the way we share our resources of time, talent, and money. Stewardship reflects our commitment to making God’s love known through the realities of human life and our use of all that God has given us. It is also our service to God’s world and our care of creation. Parish members are encouraged to make an annual stewardship pledge. This pledge represents their specific Christian commitment to “work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of God” (BCP, p. 856).
Dear Friends,
Every year at this time we gather pledges to help us establish next year’s budget. The pledges help determine what financial resources we have to work with for the coming year. To support this effort, we ask you to consider your pledge for 2026.
While St. Stephen’s has encountered various financial challenges over the past few years, we have still managed to maintain a significant presence here in Ferguson. Our membership has fluctuated a bit this past year, but we continue to have members accepting new roles in participation of our worship services and involvement in our outreach programs. If you haven’t attended church in person in a while, we warmly invite you to come back and see the good things that are happening at St. Stephen’s these days!
As you consider your 2026 pledge, look first, of course, to your own financial situation and then decide what you can commit to the support of St. Stephen’s. We understand that some live on a fixed income and that the cost of living is constantly increasing for us all. St. Stephen’s faces those same challenges. So, as in the past, we hope that you will renew your pledge, and, if at all possible, consider an increase for 2026.
To the extent that you are able, please join us in helping to continue the good works of St. Stephen’s in support of our community for the year ahead. Please place your pledge card in the offering plate or mail it to the office by Sunday, Nov. 23. Pastor Teresa will bless our pledges during the 10 a.m. worship service. Thank you for your help!
Faithfully yours in Christ,
