The parish hall at St. Stephen’s and the Vine will once again be filled with fresh produce, handmade arts and crafts, delicious breakfast items, and joyful music with the return of the Ferguson Winter Farmers Market on Saturday, Nov. 15.
This fabulous community event takes place at our church on the third Saturday of each month from November through April, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Ferguson resident Mary Haux has been involved with the Winter Farmers Market since 2011, first operating an omelet stand with her children, and now as the market manager. She sees the market as a great community gathering place.
“Come have breakfast, get your veggies and whatever you need,” Haux said. “My goal is to get more customers and people coming in every month.”
EarthDance Farms, Great Harvest Bread, and Herbal Phoenix STL are just a few of the vendors you’ll see when the market opens on November 15 at St. Stephen’s and the Vine. These groups will join other local vendors selling fresh produce, meat, cheese, bread, honey, coffee, and tea. Crafters, artisans, and community groups will help fill the parish hall. Each vendor pays St. Stephen’s and the Vine a $25 fee to participate in the market.
St. Stephen’s also hosts a table at the market, offering hot chocolate, good cheer, and information about upcoming events, such as the full turkey dinner at this month’s Clay Café. (We’ll be serving that free community meal on Sunday, Nov. 16, 4 – 6 p.m.) If you would like to volunteer at the St. Stephen’s table during any of the Winter Farmers Markets, please contact Emily Benner at bennerphoto@gmail.com, Stephen Robin at stephen.robin@yahoo.com, or just show up!
Everyone is encouraged to attend and be a part of this community event. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy breakfast, music, shopping, and fellowship at the Ferguson Winter Farmers Market!
