Support St. Stephen’s Food Ministries

St. Stephen’s and the Vine offers support to our neighbors in need through two food ministries: The St. Stephen’s Food Pantry and the Clay Café.

These ministries are our response to our biblical call to feed the hungry (Matthew 25:35-40). Learn more about our food ministries and how you can be a part of this good work:

St. Stephen’s & The Vine, Ferguson has stocked and staffed a supplemental food pantry for many decades. The St. Stephen’s Food Pantry is open twice a week: on Tuesdays, 10 a.m. – 12 noon and Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 12 noon. Guests may pick up food and household products once a week – an expansion of services that started during the initial weakening of the SNAP program in November 2025. All that is required is an ID. (Previously, guests could only access the St. Stephen’s Food Pantry once a month.)

It currently costs St. Stephen’s & The Vine at least $300 a week to operate the Food Pantry and those costs continue to rise, as food prices and demand for assistance both continue to rise. If we can raise the money, we also plan to spend at least $1,500 to update and enlarge the Food Pantry in 2026 to improve services for our guests.

St. Stephen’s and The Vine, Ferguson also provides a Free Community Meal twice a month. Since we are located on the corner of Clay & Darst, we call this the Clay Café.

The Clay Café is a FREE meal offered twice a month that fosters community with our neighbors. St. Stephen’s members and the community at large are all invited!

The Clay Café Brunch takes place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 10 a.m. – Noon, at the same time as our weekly Tuesday Food Pantry.

The Clay Café Dinner is served on the 3rd Sunday of each month, 4 – 6 p.m.
